The design is somewhat unusual: one edge of the 18ct yellow gold band loops up and around each of the stones, which are themselves set in platinum baskets creating a subtle bi metal tone contrast. The gold is beautifully textured, and London hallmarks to the inner band indicate that it was made in 1982. Aquamarine's name translates from the Latin as Seawater. Whilst
