The bell is of the "Church" type with a superb tone and the instrument is in ex railway service condition

This was removed as a souvenir  by a collector in 1971

DOUBLE LINE SPAGNOLETTI BLOCK INDICATOR EX LAWRENCE HILL SIGNAL BOX, BRISTOL. parts A small cast Alloy SULZERA Great Western Railway double line Spagnoletti block indicator in totally original ex signal box condition, this was recovered in 1969 from Lawrence Hill signal box on the main line out of Bristol Temple Meads along with its other 3 examples. instrument is complete and in tested working order. The case work has a superb high sheen patina and both flags swing freely.
